Black Pepper Steak

Cooking time: 25 minutes
Serves: 4 persons



  • 8 pieces steak (chicken or beef)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil

Black Pepper Sauce

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup onion (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp garlic (freshly chopped)
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 Knorr chicken cube dissolved in 1 cup hot water

Mixed Vegetables

  • 3 cup mixed vegetables of your choice
  • 1 Knorr chicken cube dissolved in 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Tip: For best results, use measuring utensils.


  1. Marinate the steak with salt, oregano and keep aside for one hour. Make sure the steak is at room temperature before marinating it.
  2. In a large frying pan, add 1 tbsp oil, 2 tbsp butter and fry the steak on high heat. Turn it over once one side is completely done and then cook the other side. Once both sides are cooked, take out of the pan and put aside. Continue until all the pieces are done.


  1. In the same frying pan, add 1 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp butter and put on high heat. Add chopped garlic and onion and fry until they are a little golden. Now add the Knorr cube (dissolved in water) and black pepper. Cook for 5 minutes. Add 1 cup cream and cook for another 5 minutes to thicken the sauce. Turn off the heat and let it cool.
  2. Put the sauce in a blender and blend it well. Return it into the same pan on medium heat. Once it starts boiling, add the steaks back into the pan (including any juices from the steaks that are in the plate). Cook for 3 minutes, cover and keep warm on very low heat.

Mixed Vegetables

  1. In another frying pan, add 1 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp butter and put on medium to high heat. Add all vegetables, 1/4 tsp crushed black pepper, 1 tbsp soy sauce and the Knorr cube dissolved in water. Stir fry the vegetables for 5 minutes allowing the liquids to evaporate.
