Serves: 4 to 5 persons
Ingredients
- 2 zucchini (cut into thin slices like shown below)
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp crushed red chillis
- 2 tbsp parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- 2 bread slices for breadcrumbs
- 1 egg (beaten with a fork)
Tip: For best results, use measuring utensils.
Note: 1 pinch is equal to 1/4 tsp.
Method
- Sprinkle 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper on the zucchini slices.
- Make breadcrumbs using a chopper or whatever is available to you. Mix 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 black pepper, 1/4 tsp crushed red chillis and parmesan cheese in the breadcrumbs.
- One by one, coat all the slices with plain flour, beaten egg and then breadcrumbs.
- Take a karahi, add oil and put on medium to high heat. Once oil is properly heated, fry zucchini slices. Turn over when one side is golden brown (about 3 minutes).
Serve hot with chilli sauce or ranch!
