Cooking time: 10 minutes (1 hour for marination)
Serves: 5 to 6 persons
Ingredients
Wings Marinade
- 16 chicken wings (fork them in a bowl)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp crushed red chilis
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
Batter
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp corn starch
- 4 tsp all purpose flour
- 1 pinch baking powder (optional)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp crushed red chilis
Sauce
- 1 and 1/2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp garlic (chopped)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 3 tbsp honey
Tip: For best results, use measuring utensils.
Method
- Mix the marinade ingredients in a bowl and add wings to it. Cover the wings well with the marinade. Leave aside for 1 hour. Prepare the batter.
- After about 1 hour, take the wings out of the marinade put them in the batter and keep aside.
- Deep fry them right before serving. Keep aside on a paper towel.
- Sauce: Take a karahi, add oil and put on medium heat. Once oil is heated, add garlic and fry for a few seconds. Add the sesame seeds and honey. Mix well. Add the fried wings and toss them so that sauce covers them completely. Serve hot.
